Apparently some folks found cocaine on the shelves of Walmart.
Yep. I always knew I hated Walmart. Or at least, that's what Dutch said. Sort of jokingly. Sort of not. And while I found the title and article to be one of the funniest things I've read all year, 405 people, who clearly have mastered the art of embarrassing the English language, took total offense to it.
I likes me some wallmart.
Jist becuz they found crack at walmart doesnt mean its bad.
Yew suck.
PHEW!
And then I wonder.
Okay. I wonder a few things.
Like does the internet have absolutely NO sense of humor anymore? I mean, c'mon. It's funny. Especially if you don't like Walmart's extremely questionable business practices.
But also, how do all these people who can't spell the word "YOU" get access to a computer and internet? WOW.
And finally, what's so great about Walmart? I mean. I totally understand wanting a good deal. Or something. But outsourcing to foreign countries? Treating your employees like crap? I'd rather give my $ to someone else.
So, do you shop at Walmart? If not or if so, tell me why.

I don't, for the reasons you cite and also because I would rather support smaller local businesses whenever I can.

I do. I love it. I hate it. I'm lazy, so I go to the store closest to my house (Walmart). I can do the most shopping (even groceries) in the shortest amount of time, and it eats all my money and I buy loads of things I didn't even know I need, but they're so cheap so I buy them anyway. It is an evil empire, but I love it anyway

I'm a Canadian, who tries to support Canadian merchants and independent sellers as much as possible... add that to all the reasons you listed... nope, not a fan!

Oh, and I just read the article and thought it was hilarious. Where are these people's sense of humor?

Walmart is Evil. Will not shop there - especially since Target is next door and actually has a few employees who know what customer service means, can spell it, and actually practice it. Where did everyone's sense of humor go, anyway? Sheesh.

Don't shop at Walmart for some of the reasons you mentioned as well as others. There is no such thing as a deal good enough to get me to go there.

I am in Honolulu and we don't have the greatest selection of stores to shop at, so I am forced to go to Walmart occasionally. It is 3rd in line behind Navy Exchange and Kmart. Oh what I wouldn't do for a Target!
I read that article and thought it was hilarious. Maybe bad grammer and spelling are directly proportionate to sense of humer, or lack thereof??

Um no, you won't catch me in that place....unless we're in the middle of nowhere and that's all there is and we need diapers or wipes or a little cocaine. You know, just then.
I loved Dutch's haters over there. That has to be the funniest post I've seen in months. In fact if I could figure out how to give someone a ROLF award, it would go to that post.

Very rarely, when I'm in a hurry and too lazy to search for whatever I need. The whole time we're in there I want to shout "WE'RE NOT WALMART PEOPLE - REALLY!"

Yes, unfortunately I do shop at Walmart. It's evil, but the only other store in the Craphole, AL town in which I live is always having problems with the health department. The next closest grocery store is about 30 minutes away and I just don't have time to go that far. How I yearn for a decent place to shop.

I only go there when I have to. Most of the time it is Target or a local store. I love how at the local stores you can get so much better service. The people know their products much better than a big box store.

HATE HATE HATE Wal-mart! I prefer to support my local merchants. Also because of all the reasons listed above as well as the fact that there have been many instances of women (usually mom's trying to jugle cart and kids) getting their purses snatched right inside the store. And their customer service is the worst, actually worse than that they have no customer service!
