So this year my husband will not be around for the Halloween festivities. Don't get me wrong. I realize it's not that big of a holiday.
Okay. It's not even really a holiday.
However, it's sort of fun, particularly for my daughter who just loves to get dressed up. And I can't say I can blame her. I have always been a fan of dressing up - be it in a weird clown costume or a sexy China doll (which I used to be able to get away with - being half Chinese and all and about 21 with no shame).
But this year I'm going to try to take some great pictures. That's sort of like me saying I'm planning on a meds-free, painless birth. It's worth considering and even fantasizing about, but dude, it's just NOT going to happen that way. However, I've sought out the help of picture guru (and good pal who writes great fabulous blogs and takes amazing pictures) TRACEY CLARK.
I love her. She loves me. It's a blogger relationship made in heaven.
But seriously, she's got some great tips on how to make the most of your camera time with the costumed one. I suggest you hop on over there and check it out. And don't be afraid to flip through her archives. She's got some great hints for you camera dummies (like ME who cannot figure out how to turn off my flash) and even those of who are already camera superstars.

Indeed, it's a love love relationship. Hope my tips today help!
